Campagna Lupia

Interesting spots

Facebook

The discovery of a Neolithic boat is evidence of how the area of Campagna Lupia has been inhabited since ancient times. Once traversed by the Roman road, Via Popilia, it has produced important archaeological finds, especially from the area of present day Lova, then known as Lupa, from which the present name derives. The special feature of the area that makes the environmental aspects so interesting is the estuary of the River Brenta and the resulting alluvial deposits that have formed two distinc areas separated by the Canale Novissimo and the Romea State Road 309 - one reclaimed and inhabited area, and one remains practically intact, and very beautiful, merging with the lagoon of venice, with 9 enclosed fish farma and a natural oasis, the Valle Averto, managed by the WWF.
