When strolling down the alleys off the main street, you will come across delightful shops that are the heirs to a culture of craftsmanship dated back centuries. There are stores where you can buy scale models of typical vessels, fans, terracotta pipes from Chioggia built on 17th century, prints, clothing, perfume and toy shops, for all needs or just for window shopping.

The bakers sell bossolà, papini, bissiole, and many other types of bread from Chioggia. Behind Palazzo Granaio there is the fish market and nearby the greengrocers.

Thursday Morning is the weekly Market day and there are many opportunities to buy from the stalls, displaying all types of goods along the main street, a great experience with plenty of colour and thousands of people. You can rest for a coffee, a homemade icecream, have a snack outdoor or enjoy a great fish lunch or dinner in one of the famous restaurants.
