From the fishing port of Caorle, crossing the Varogio canal, you reach the river Livenza and turning right you go north-east as far as Ca'Corniani, ancient rural community closely bound with the history of Caorle. The name of the hamlet Ca'Corniani originated from the Venetian family Corniani who at the end of 1600 bought an agricultural area of about 1700 hectares delimitated by the Livenza river and the canals "Dead Livenza" and "Commessera". The village, in the greenery of the countryside, reflects the architectural style of the old constructions in reclaimed areas, with porched buildings that go all around the master's house and the maincourt or square. You continue to La Salute di Livenza and San Giorgio di Livenza where there are many landing places for crafts. Going upwards, you can find Torre di Mosto and afterwards Santo Stino di Livenza, where you can admire the trawlnet, a big net that is lowered from above into the river and then lifted up again to pick up the fish. The Livenza river rises in Polcenigo, where it unites with the water of the rushing Gorgazzo. The source of the Livenza is fascinating for the Paleolithic site risen many years ago and for the depth and the limpidity of the water that rise at the source. The river is navigable from the source to the mouth.
