Villa Bortolussi

Facebook

The bloody battles of the First World War, in the autumn 1917, in a few days have wiped out almost the whole artistic heritage of Noventa.
Among the magnificent villas, once owned by the Erizzo's, Molin's, Zeno's, Da Mosto's Memo's and Sabbionera's, the eighteen-century Villa Bortolussi survived as well as Villa de Zuliani and Villa Ca' Zorzi.

Its refined façade, simple and linear, is perfectly integrated in the landscape of Noventa.
It is one of several examples of the interest of the rich Venetian patriciate that, attracted by the charm of the countryside, by the fertile soil, by the easy boat connections with Venice on the river Piave, chose Noventa to build there their magnificent villas.
