Since 1528 the complex of the Holy Trinity has developed on the initiative of the Battuti brotherhood, who worshiped the ancient crucifix set on the niche over the back wall.

The Oratory was built in the second half of the 16th century, while the ceiling was covered between 1596 and 1602 with paintings by Paolo Piazza, A. Benfatti, Palma il Giovane and A. Vicentino. The register in the area of the windows dates back 1626-1627.

In 1703-1707, the present Greek cross church was built under the project of Andrea Tirali, in place of the 16th century crumbling one. It contains paintings by G.B. Mariotti (choir), M. Ponzone and A. Vicentino (altars), and two large canvases by P. Damini and A. Vicentino (entrance), from the deconsecrated church of S. Nicolò in Chioggia. At the center of the floor, a large ray system embraces the marble gravestone of Carlo Moscheni, the first funder of the current structure.

The entrance is from Piazzale XX Settembre.
