The lands of Venice By bicycle: cicle-touring itineraries in the Province of Venice
These itineraries were made by the Veneto Region in collaboration with the Province of Venice and by the Venice Tourist Board on a project involving the other six provinces for the development of cycling tourism in the whole Veneto region.
We propose 6 fascinating itineraries to enjoy cycling and discover the beauty of the Venetian mainland, beaches, lagoons and rivers that make this area so unique.
Cycling route Venice lagoon Islands
Lido di Venezia, Malamocco, Pellestrina.This is an easy excursion which allows you to live an unforgettable experience thanks to the magic combination of sea and lagoon.
Caorle, Concordia Sagittaria, Vallevecchia, Bibione. The route winds its way through the countryside lying along the upper Adriatic sea coast, stopping for a visit to the colourful historic centre of Caorle, an ancient fishing village made up of characteristic pastel coloured houses.
Chioggia, Sottomarina, Isola Verde, Cavanella d'Adige. This is an easy excursion which allows you to live an unforgettable experience thanks to the magic combination of sea and lagoon.
Cycling route Venice Northern Lagoon
The excursion crosses the narrow strip of land rich of history, traditions and nature which goes from Punta Sabbioni to the mouth of river Sile. Wild beaches surrounded by scented pinewoods, lagoon landscapes populated with many bird species, vegetable gardens and typical lagoon fish cultures which offer a wide range of "zero food miles" products.
This excursion will give you the privilege to discover a distinctive territory characterized by the happy combination of different water elements: lagoon, sea, rivers and canals, sweetly flowing and mingling with the warm and vivid countryside colours.
